And the Winner Is....

The night before our ultrasound, we were talking about possible names for this tiny bun. I asked Lindy Loo what she thought. "Um.." She was pensive. "If it is a girl, I think we should name her Lily." Lovely, I totally like that name. "And," she continued, "If it is a boy, we should name him Robot Dube." Riiighht.

We got there. We checked it all out (well, Rod the ultrasound guru checked it out and then told us), and ROBOT DUBE it is. See? He's waving hello to you. "Hi." He says, "My name is Robot Dube. I'll see ya soon." So no real need for name suggestions, I think we're all set. Unless of course you don't think Robot Dube is fitting for a little man... Yeah, I didn't think you would think that. It's just plain awesome. I think what I like best about it is that you don't really hear it that often, you know? It's fresh. It's funky. It's Robot Dube.

I didn't post a picture of his "parts" because come on people, this is a family blog. And I don't want to have to flag it for adult content. That just doesn't seem appropriate. Just take our word for it (well, Rod the ultrasound guru's word... it just looked like fuzz to me).

I know. We have a lot of December Birthdays. It's a little out of control.

I also had a birthday last week. I didn't post about it when it happened because I figured you would all be tired of hearing about our birthdays. Thank you to all you well-wishers. I had a great day. Matt got me a present. Lindy watched him wrap it. Then Matt went in the other room and I felt the package. Not to mock his wrapping skills, but it was pretty obvious it was a new pair of scissors ( that's what it felt like, and it was a big hint that while I had been working on some Christmas projects I kept saying that I needed sharp scissors and even went so far as to borrow someone else's sharp scissors). I was very confident in my guess. So I was confused when Matt was in the other room and I made cutting motions with my fingers to Lindy and she professed, "Nope. Guess again." hmm. curious. When Matt came back in the room Lindy looked positively exuberant. "Dad!" She exclaimed, "Mom guessed the right thing, but I just told her 'Nope!'" Ah, the girl is crafty like ice is cold.

On the evening of my birthday, we had a surprise visit from Santa Claus. We were all thrilled to see him. Even though Piper was the only kid who would sit on his lap. Santa was kind enough to let the adults give our wishes too.
Too bad for Santa. In these pictures it looks like Matt's the one giving him a present. Hopefully Santa has a change of suit.

More Birthday Fun

Hank is two. I woke up this morning and realized it. And then I thought back to two years ago. I can remember it like it was yesterday. And it should be yesterday. It feels like it is yesterday. But it's not. It's two years later and thus, he is two years old. As much as I would like to slow down the racing time, I wouldn't really have it any other way.

He got fun presents, but his first present was his first fat lip at the Bishop's office yesterday. Because nothin' says happy birthday like a big fat lip, am I right?

Please disregard the dirty face. His second present was chocolate to stop the crying from the fat lip, that's how we roll.

Birthday Boy

I love this dude (the man, not the dog).

It was the Grand Cha-Hee's birthday on Friday. We celebrated with a joyful hayride around the Broulim's parking lot, 50 cent soup and scones at said Broulim's and a fantastic cheesecake ice cream cake from Coldstone.

xoxoxo, babe. We love you.
